Dry Electrode EEG Headset

  • The DSI-24 is a research-grade wireless dry electrode EEG headset designed for rapid application of 21 sensors at locations corresponding to the 10-20 International System. Its main features include:

    • ¤ýSelf-donned and ready to record EEG in under 5 minutes
    • ¤ýComfortable for wearing continuously over 8 hours
    • ¤ýPortable design suitable for light ambulation in office or lab environment
    • ¤ý21 sensors positioned according to the 10-20 International System
    • ¤ýContinuous impedance monitoring
    • ¤ýBluetooth wireless transmission with sampling at 300 Hz
    • ¤ýHot-swappable Li-ion batteries allow continuous operation
    • ¤ý8-bit digital trigger input
    • ¤ýAdjustable to fit a wide range of head sizes (52-62 cm in circumference)

Applications

The DSI-24¡¯s practicality, portability, and high signal quality opens the door to taking numerous applications that were previously limited to lab environments to more naturalistic settings. Such applications include:

  • ¤ýNeurofeedback
  • ¤ýNeuroergonomics
  • ¤ýNeuroeconomics / Neuromarketing
  • ¤ýAugmented Cognition
  • ¤ýBrain-Computer Interfaces
  • ¤ýBiometrics
  • ¤ýCognitive Stress or Workload Monitoring
  • ¤ýPsychological Research
  • ¤ýSports Peak Performance Training

Child-Sized Version: DSI-24-C

The DSI-24¡¯s practicality, robustness to motion artifacts, high signal quality, and unsurpassed comfort beckoned for a version suitable for children.

And, thus, by popular demand, we have developed a smaller version of our DSI-24: The DSI-24-C, which is designed to comfortably and accurately position the dry sensors on heads 48-54 cms in circumference, thus fitting >90% of male children 3-7 years of age, and >90% of females 4-9 years old. (The DSI-24 optimally fits 54-62 cm)

This unit is thus an excellent complement to a DSI-24, or can be purchased separately, as the child-sized version is a stand-alone unit, and includes its own integrated amplifiers, digitizers, and 19 sensors on the head at the International 10/20 System locations, as well as 2 removable ear clips and 1 auxiliary input for ECG/EMG/EOG.

Sensor Locations 21 sensors at 10-20 locations: Fp1, Fp2, Fz, F3, F4, F7, F8, Cz, C3, C4, T7/T3, T8/T4, Pz, P3, P4, P7/T5, P8/T6, O1, O2, A1, A2
